永远不要说再见
十岁那年，我突然面临着搬家的痛苦，而这个家是我记事以来唯一的家。我的整个生活，尽管很简单，却是在那个很旧的大房子里度过的。这里留下了我们一家四代生活的酸甜苦辣。
到了搬家那天，我跑到屋子后面的那个如同我的避难所的小门廊下，独自一人坐在那里，浑身颤抖，泪水从心底涌出。突然，有一只手放到了我的肩上。抬起头，我看到了祖父。“这不是件容易的事。对吗，比利?”他坐在我旁边的台阶上，和蔼地说。
“爷爷”，我泪眼婆娑地回答道，“我怎么能和您还有我所有的朋友说再见呢?”
他盯着那棵苹果树看了一会儿说:“再见是个悲伤的字眼，把这个词用在朋友身上似乎太决绝，太冷酷。我们说再见的方式似乎有很多，但它们都有一个共同点，那就是悲伤。”
