Many students who started learning English in the primary school had to re-start learning it whenthey entered the junior high school because there was not a proper connection either in the syllabusor in the textbooks between the primary and the secondary level of English.And before 2001, theEnglish syllabus did not include the primary phase but only the junior phase and the senior phase.

In Krashen's Monitor Model of second language development,learning is not conscious anddoes not occur in formal situations or through formal grammatical rules,while acquisition is aconscious process marked by the presence of error correction and rule isolation.
