Due Attention Should Be Given To Spelling
Correct spelling is a basic skill in studying English.(1)However, nowadays spelling is neglectedby many students in their English study.
(2)They have their own reasons for misspelling. First of all, they prefer an easy way of studyinglanguage，which causes some losses and changes in spelling.Second, the teachers are not verystrict with students’spelling. In China,teachers seem to be more concerned with grammar andvocabulary rather than spelling.
(3)To change this bad habit,from my point of view,the teachers and students should worktogether.On the one hand, the teachers should pay more attention to students’spelling, asking thestudents to be conscious of the importance of correct spelling from the very beginning of theirEnglish study.On the other hand, the students themselves are supposed to be aware of thenecessity of correct spelling in English study.
In conclusion,correct spelling is so important that both teachers and students should try their bestto achieve correct spelling.
